Phone screening with a recruiter.
Phone interview with someone on the team.
It's a very bad experience. For the phone interview with someone on the team, the interviewer asked me questions for less than 15 minutes (it's a 30-minute interview) then she said she didn't have any more questions for me. And she only asked severl simple questions regarding the bullet points on my resume, never digging deep into any details of those projects.
I didn't get any updates from the recruiter until I sent my second follow-up email (7 days from the first one and 14 days from the day of the phone interview). They told me that they had changed their plan and decided to hire a senior role.
I think it is important that companies treat their candidates with respect and post job openings after careful consideration. Well if your business plan has changed, then I understand that you are looking to hire a different role. But you should have at least let me know in a timely manner, instead of just ghosting the candidate. That's not cool.
Please show some respect.
