They do not spend much time on the interview process. They will hire you if you meet basic requirements because they just need warm bodies to fill roles. Stanford mostly uses staffing agencies to fill positions because it is difficult to find skilled, qualified information technology personnel in the Bay area. They pay a lot of money to the staffing agencies for consultants but then they do not pay their full-time staff anywhere near the same amount they pay the staffing agency. If you meet their basic requirements, they will hire you. Your salary will depend on your ability to negotiate.
