I went in for an interview for the lab tech position. I arrived 10 minutes early as per my usual. Upon entering, I had to fill out an 8 page application of which all required information was already in my resume. The interview process was average. I’ll tell you about the company and then you tell me about yourself. I have a bachelors degree in biology and a wide range of work experience. Once we got to discussing benefits, I was not only shocked but disgusted. They offered me $14/hr, you get zero vacation for the first year (then after one year you bump up to 5 days vacation), zero sick days (and if you need a day off because you are sick, you must make up the hours, you can’t take it unpaid). Hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday. I don’t work as hard as I do to be offered zero days off and such low pay. Value your employees and do better.
