The recruiter reached out & asked for time slots to discuss the role. We agreed on a time and confirmed it via email. On the day of the call, he called 15 minutes late without sounding apologetic. He started the call with telling me how busy he was with meetings during the day. After that, he didn’t know what to say next so we both sat in silence for 2 minutes. I don’t know what he was thinking but I was thinking, wait do you want me to run this call ? After the awkward silence, I I picked up the conversation and said let me give you a little background about my work. Went over my background in detail. I asked him to tell me about the role. He pulled up the job req and started reading from the job poster like a robot without actually talking about the team or the role. Then he must he realized that it’s not sounding ok so he started skipping lines and ended that torture. At the end, he told me that he wanted to set up an interview for me with the hiring manager and asked for my availability for the same week. I wasn’t ready for this so I told him that I have to look at my calendar to see and if he can email me. He said he will emailed right after the call but of course he disappeared. I wasn’t interested at this point anyway so I left it. Out of curiosity, I messaged him a week later to ask about the update and he told me that the hiring manager went with another candidate. Overall, very unprofessional experience. I had a different image in mind hearing the company’s name thinking the process and people will be very professional and on top of their game.

It was ok, but not the best interview experience. Some of the interviewers framed the interview as "a discussion", but in actuality they have a very particular solution in mind and were not interested in discussing other solutions. If they are only interested in that particular approach, then it would be better if they just asked about that technique directly. It was quite frustrating as their solutions weren't great themselves. I imagine this is largely just inexperience on these particular interviewers though, and not really a reflection on the company. Still it was a little frustrating.

There was no email or call from a recruiter, just the hiring manager herself. I would describe this process as unprofessional. The hiring manager was a few minutes late. But I was still interested in the position. They told me they wanted me to meet with other team members and I sent out a follow up email and there has been no response. It's extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend.

First of all I must say, one the best recruitment process I had in my life! Excellency was shown in every step of the way, from every recruiter to every designer. I felt super confortable the entire process. How it all started: 1st : I send over my portfolio and resume on the company site. 2nd: I was reached out by the recruiter and she set up a meeting. It was a quick chat , we talked about my experience and what the role I'm applying for was about. (20 min) 3rd: Set-up a meeting with the Hiring Manager ( Product Design Lead) and I was challenged to prepare a portfolio review. (45min) 4th: Set-up an virtual on-site with the team (Designers, product managers, tech leads). 5 interviews in the same day: - 1 portfolio review ( 1 hour) - 1 whiteboard challenge ( 2 hours) - 1 meet with Designer ( 30 min ) - 1 meet with Tech lead ( 30 min) 5th: Set-up a meeting with the Director of the product 6th: Offer meeting with the recruiter

The experience was less than stellar. I was never super clear on how many interview rounds were required, when I would hear back on results, etc. I had to follow up quite a bit in order to keep the process moving along. After each of my interviews, the interviewers would indicate that I did well. But I ultimately was rejected because they were looking for a particular recruiting skill set that I didn’t have. That was never articulated at the beginning, so had I known that the skill was priority #1 for the team, I would have opted out instead of spending 6+ hours interviewing. It also was disappointing to get my hopes up based on the positive feedback from interviewers just to wind up being rejected for the job.
