A recruiter reached out to me about the job opportunity. I spoke with them in detail about my experience. Had to submit additional information about myself. They prepped me on what I should prepare for before having my interview with the hiring manager.
The hiring manager interview was very casual but we didn't discuss what I was prepped on; they instead did a deep dive into my background. I thought the interview went well even when they pointed out my areas of opportunity. However, when I got feedback from the recruiter I was told contradictory information about how the interview went.
Honestly, it was insulting and a waste of my time. I would have been fine not advancing to the next round due to what I lacked in experience, but I was told it was because I didn't lead the interview. How is an interviewee supposed to lead if they aren't the one hiring for the position??
Interview + Presentation to the hiring manager and panel of R&D and Design.
Interview with hiring manager testing for the right experience followed by a home assignment improving their product and presenting it to the panel.
3 rounds done and after that Recruiter told 1 more round is there. Next, recruiter stopped responding to my calls. At least have courtesy to respond to mail/ call the candidate when the candidate has given enough time
