I was asked to sell the manager a ballpoint pen. I should have been expecting to have to sell something, but it did catch me off guard. For the record, he bought what I sold! Remember to smile during the interviews! It seems like such an obvious suggestion, but the girl who was interviewed prior to me wore an expression as if she had a nasty smell emanating from her upper lip. Smiling goes a long way in customer service! Also, dress appropriately. Even though it is a retail job, I chose to wear a suit, which gave the impression that I care about the interview and the job itself.
