I was recently scouted by ProductLife Group on LinkedIn and invited to interview for a position. After engaging with their internal team and investing time in the process, I was informed that the search was being handed over to an external headhunter, who would now need to review my profile all over again.
This felt like a step backwards rather than progress in the recruitment process. It’s confusing and frustrating for a candidate to be initially engaged directly by the company, only to be redirected to a third party and essentially asked to start from scratch. It raises questions about the organization and coordination of their hiring process.
Such an approach is not only inefficient but also signals a lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort. It left me feeling undervalued and uncertain about the company’s internal communication and decision-making. I hope ProductLife Group rethinks this process to provide a more transparent and candidate-friendly experience in the future.
