      Entretien

Panel interview with a dept. manager, compliance manager and the director of HR. I like to research I'm big on researching people who I'll be interviewing with ahead of time and had already read the HR person's profile. Based on that info, I knew Dave would be shrewd and tough. I was not wrong. The questions from the two managers were fairly standard: resume experience, behavioral based, generic training questions, etc. Nothing too hard. The questions coming from Dave were a different story and fairly non-traditional. On his second question, he asked me to stand up and give an example of how I would introduce myself to a class. This was definitely an interview first, as training presentations aren't typically done until the second interview to showcase one's talents. With his questions, I knew my initial impression of him was spot on. Fair warning: He is not a typical HR person. Also, he was dressed very casually for an interview. Another first for me. This is a new-ish position for PCC, open for several months, and I'm not sure they know what they're looking for. It comes with a preferred requirement for training certification and collections experience. That is highly unusual and more likely found in corporate trainers within major Fortune 500 corporations in the larger metropolitan regions. Good luck to them in that regard. Also, this role will have the unenviable task of trying to learn their process and produce learners with high knowledge levels. Hope they have diehard collections background. Currently, four managers are doing the training with probably four very different styles.
