Was contacted by a recruiter. Asked typical questions about my experience and told me more about Paycom. Was sent. Link to apply to the job and asked to submit a “brag book” of my previous accomplishments. Was later setup for a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. He asked a lot of questions in relations to college and my choice of major along with my previous work experience. Didn’t not ask any behavior questions. Said he thought I would be a good fit for the role and wanted to have me interview with his boss and to contact him with any questions. I sent a follow up email and included a few questions that came to mind. He never responded and a couple days later I got a call from the recruiter saying he thought I would be a better fit for a Account Manager/Account Executive role. Said she would contact me when something came open. I checked their career page after and there is an opening for that role as well, so I have to assume that was a nice way of telling me they weren’t interested.
