Painless. If you are qualified you are hired. Immediate work if qualified. You will start seasonal until you can show you are fully responsible. Managers does interview 20 minutes tops of your time. Very direct and straight forward.

Walked into the office and inquired about hiring. I filled out an application and was called into and interview and was offered the job after the interview.
