Noom's interview process was very interesting. First, I completed a short (less than 90 second) video introduction of myself, answering why I was interested in Noom, what skills I brought to the table, and how I would be an effective Virtual Health Coach. Then, I was asked to participate in a simulation of a conversation with one of Noom's users. This was accomplished through typing in a Google Doc--one of Noom's employees would pretend to be a user, and I was tasked with responding with the user and helping them establish a goal. It was... interesting to say the least. I think the Noom interviewer was trying to be an example of a difficult user (and they were definitely very difficult--super contrary, unwilling to change, stubborn, and uninterested in the process), which I can see the value of, but it made it really challenging for me to actually demonstrate how I would help the average Noom user.

After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.

Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
