Interviewed in late October. Things seemed to be progressing at a decent pace at the time. Early November I'm selected and we start negotiating base salary. This process goes less smoothly until the week of Thanksgiving. Recruiter says the offer is being sent internally for approval. 2 weeks go by and hear nothing. Finally I'm told they want to push an offer for this position until 1st quarter of 2018. Bummer. A few days later I get a call that things have changed and now they want to get the offer approved. Again, the offer is sent internally for approval. A few days later, I find out that Finance and HR want to wait until after 2018. Sigh. 3 weeks into 2018 I'm told the position has closed and they no longer intend to fill it. So no offer forthcoming. In total the process took 2.5 months. I may be glad this didn't work out considering how this went.
