I was emailed to set up a phone interview about two weeks after online application. There was no negotiation about a day or time for the interview; I was simply told to "make myself available" at a specific time on a specific day. I happened to be available, so I don't know if it would have been a problem if I'd needed to negotiate another time. The phone interview lasted about 45 minutes and was generally genial. The interview took place on a Thursday and the interviewer promised a reply early the next week; a different employee emailed to say they had passed on Monday. I appreciate the quick turn-around, especially since I've had hiring committees or interviewers tell me they'll reply by a certain date and then fail to do so for days or weeks after that date.
