J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Mural (Dublin, Dublin) en juin 2022

Phone screen > Hiring manager call > Values questionnaire > Portfolio review > Team interviews > Final interview > Offer
6(+!) steps for a candidate to progress to the offer stage is a bit ridiculous and unnecessary.
I dropped out after the portfolio review and was pretty disappointed in the impersonal automated rejection email they sent out. It didn’t include any details about what their reasoning was or even anything slightly tailored to me as a person, which felt rude after I had spent hours preparing for calls and writing out detailed answers to their values questionnaire.
I was also surprised to be ghosted by the recruiter when I followed up to ask if they had any feedback from the team that they could share. Ultimately it seems Mural isn’t a very human centric company.

I actually did not get to the interview because after I chose a time slot for that, I got an NDA to sign. It's three pages long and is written (obviously) in legal English.
I have two problems with that.
1., This is showing me a lack of trust prior to everything. Do I want to work in such a corporate culture? No.
2., I, being a designer, cannot possibly understand all the consequences and didn't want to hire an attorney to help me. On top of that, I wonder what could be said in a prescreening interview that could cause harm to this company…?

Question 1
No questions, because not signing the NDA I did not comply.

After submitting an application, I was promptly emailed by the talent recruiter. She and I set up a time for a Zoom call. During the recruiter screener, recruiter let me know all about the company and it was as much about answering my questions as me answering questions about my background. The recruiter let me know the team wanted to move forward within a week. Next, I spoke with the Design VP. I presented a portfolio case study (this happened ad hoc - not sure if this is always the case). Next step, I completed a remote, one-hour design exercise with Head of Design. Finally, spoke with product manager for the product pillar.
