      Entretien

This was the weirdest, strangest interview I have ever been to. The end result just wasted my time. In this review, you will see the word "technical" brought up a number of times. The first interview was with HR. It was a remote video. She seemed nice. Wanted to find out about my experience in Advertising. She sounded interested. Said, the second interview would be technical. And would be with the CTO and IT Manager. The second interview was face-to-face. It got pushed back a couple of times. Eventually, had a confirmed date and time. When I arrived, I was greeted by the CTO. It was meant to have a meeting room booked (according to the recruitment agency). Instead, it ended up on the ground floor next to the in-house café, which was quite noisy. As we sat down, I asked if anyone else was joining us, and the CTO said it was just him, which I found a bit odd as I was told the IT Manager would be present as well (according to the recruitment agency and HR). As there were going to be technical questions for this second interview, I could tell by the body language that he was not really interested in pursuing. He focused his eyes elsewhere when talking from time to time with me and didn't have many questions for me other than asking about my employment history. I was the one asking questions to him about Jamf, Intune, and Gsuite. We then discussed my knowledge of what I did around those tools. I asked CTO "Do you have any technical questions for me?" This was his response: "My technical skills are not up to scratch because of my line of work." As the interview was coming to an end, He told me there was going to be a third interview and said he was impressed. He also told me that another candidate was unlikely to go to the next stage (which I didn’t find professional). At this point, I was just downright confused. A lot was going on my mind, I was thinking why this interview was pushed back a couple of times, why there was no IT Manager present, and how come a meeting room wasn't booked for us to talk properly? Why is there a 3rd Interview? Afterwards, I spoke to the recruitment agency, and they asked how it went. I honestly told them there was something strange about this interview, but I was reassured that's just how CTO is. But the recruitment agency was confused why there was no IT Manager and there was no discussion on a 3rd interview. The next day, I got a call back and was told there was no third interview and that I didn’t have Jamf and Intune knowledge? I have 3 1/2 years of experience using Intune and 3 years using Jamf. You didn’t ask me any technical questions. I can see what’s going on here. If you had made up your mind already, what was the point of me coming all the way to see you face-to-face? It just wasted my time. Now I can understand why other IT staff have decided to jump ship after you joined Mother 10 weeks ago. If this is the type of behaviour you have.
