      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Metegrity (Houston, TX) en déc. 2020

      Entretien

There wasn't much of one. I applied, and a month later I was contacted. The person who contacted happened to catch me in my car, so we agreed to schedule an interview. That took place a couple of days after the initial contact. On the interview was their CEO (on Zoom), and the contact (voice only). I personally thought the interviews went really well, and that was the same feedback I received from both participants. I thought it was unusual that the CEO was in on an initial interview, but they're small, and I just rolled with the punches. The CEO had a hard stop, so he left the conversation after an hour, and I continued with the contact. They indicated that they already had one other sales person in my area, which I thought was unusual considering the markets they play in. I asked questions specifically about fit and issues with 2 sales people in the same market (without enough opportunity to really support more than one), and was assured that it would not be an issue. After an additional 30 minutes with the contact, I was told that I would be called back in for a second interview, to be held this week. The sales contact said that they would call me later that day to check availability for a follow-up. They specifically asked me if it would be OK for that follow-up call, and of course I agreed. Well, it's now over a week later, and I've totally been ghosted by this company. No rejection email, nothing. Ironically, the day after this interaction the contact accepted my LinkedIn request. This morning, I saw a post from that person on LinkedIn. So, they're still alive... Look, I know we are all busy. And I did not try to follow up, as I was assured that they would call me back. After this, though, I have to wonder about the level of support I would get from this company if I worked for them. I've been through this with other companies I worked with, as remote managers were either slow or non-responsive for whatever questions I might have. That's a huge red flag for me. You're being set up for failure. Tread carefully with this company, proceed at your own risk.

      Question 1

Let's assume it's midyear, and it looks like you're not going to make your number for the year. What would you do to ensure that you will put yourself back on track to make your number?
