1. A recruiter reached out - helpful, friendly 2. A 45 min app review with a team lead who asked very poor questions (as if they’ve never worked in tech let alone design) super strange 3. A 45 min interview of my portfolio with 2 designers (this was brutal) They weren’t paying attention, one was WFH and talking to their roommates on mute the whole time while the other was visibly on their phone They would then ask questions - the answers of which were clearly stated while they weren’t paying attention (I almost thought it was a prank after a while) They took up so much time asking the strangest, most naive questions that i had no chance of finishing the presentation on time At the end they said “we’d let you ask us questions but you took up too much of our time and we have more important meetings to go to” and logged off mid sentence as i was thanking them for their time An interview is a 2 way conversation where the interviewee is also interviewing the company to see if they’re a sufficient match - very safe to say this isn’t the place for me I reached out to the recruiter and told her thanks but no thanks
