      Entretien

PLEASE READ FULLY IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT THIS COMPANY: I come from tech sales, am a few months out of college and was eager to explore my other options. Although I got an offer, this was the most taxing interview process I have ever experienced. This company is a waste of time and a trap for college students seeking a job. The interview process was extremely redundant, time consuming and psychologically manipulative. They try to paint a pretty picture and make it seem like they are highly desired and nice by inviting you to a group interview at a luxe hotel. The reality is that this company has a crappy product and had to re-brand itself (formerly known as Magenta and everything was Magenta colored) in order to survive and trick more clients into using their product which has NO traction/respect in the software market. 1) I found the group interview to be somewhat unique but not necessarily difficult. We were asked to pitch ourselves through a series of tasks in front of a panel of 3 people. However, the entire situation is meant to break you. You are asked to pick who you would want to be your manager out of the 7 other candidates once they describe themselves for 2 minutes. 2) By the one-on-one interview, you think it would be a normal discussion but it turns into another 2 hour ordeal of psychological mind games, ambiguity and more pressured questioning. I was asked to impersonate my mother to talk about myself to the director. This exercise was totally inappropriate as it was not sales related and crossed the line in interview etiquette. He was pressing and manipulative in his questioning and tried to make me create a negative identity for myself - again with the intent to break me. I came with experience doing the same job just in a different software market, gave a perfect phone call mock pitch; asking about my personal life and gritty details is completely unprofessional. 3) Furthermore, the management dodges any questions about their actual products. They have no actual idea what their products do. They also are ambiguous about pay structure, this is a BIG RED FLAG because there should be complete transparency about the position and pay structure with numerical values not just a general earning potential. Don't be fooled by the "cool office" or location - it is cluttered and was filled with unhappy looking employees who were working until 8pm under blasted house music. Everyone who works there is young and most likely there because it is their first job out of college. If you think you want to be in sales and need a job, go for it, but there are definitely better opportunities out there.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

      1) Tell us something you are passionate about in under one minute. (group interview) 2) Based on the pitches, who would you consider to be your manager from this group? 3) What would your mother say are some of your faults and failures? (pretend to be her)
