Applied online to the Lockheed Martin corporate website when I was living in California end of last year. Month later received a call from the hiring manager herself that they were interested in me for an IT position in the DFW area. Flew me out and payed for hotel, meals and rental car. Hiring manager met me down in HR, didn't meet with anyone in HR except the receptionist. First had a talk with the hiring manager, sat me down and just wanted to talk. Then had a couple of her subordinates come in with our own Q&A. Think it was more getting to know my personality. Taken out to lunch and then brought back and then told by the hiring manager about reservations he/she had. One of the curious things to note was that they didn't ask me what I knew of Lockheed Martin, only were concerned about the job itself. When asked about their enthusiasm for the the Company it was very neutral. Was walked downstairs to HR, went to the airport and flew back home.
