I applied online for the role, and the next day I received a surprise call from their internal recruiter which ended up being the typical SAAS first stage screening call with HR. This was very unexpected and unprofessional, compared to how other companies interview. I was told the process is a chat with the hiring manager, and if successful there will be multiple calls with potential peers on the third (final) stage. I had a second stage interview with the hiring manager scheduled, and 20mins before this was set to start they cancelled with it to be rearranged. A week later they rescheduled the interview, and after choosing my time slot they never confirmed this as previously done. The interview never happened. I decide to read employee reviews, with them not being that great. Having read interview reviews seeing many reports of 'ghosting', I can confirm this happened to me also and I will not continue to pursue this opportunity. In my opinion any company under the realm of IT with some being classed as SAAS that started pre-2000, is an old archaic company that lacks understanding of people. As there seems to be an 'old boys club' culture here seeing on their site women make up <20% of the senior management and executive team, I would run a mile. Those companies with more women at the top, are the successful ones with good reviews from employees at the least. If you ignore the reviews like I almost did, I wish you luck!

The initial phone screening with the recruiter and communications were good and timely. Then about a week passed before I heard back for the hiring manager interview. That interview was good as well. Nothing alarming and nothing to write home about. About two passed between the hiring manager interview and when I heard back from the recruiter. Not really the recruiter's fault. I was asked for my availability for the full loop interviews, so I provided it. Then the full loop interviews were scheduled and cancelled because of scheduling conflicts. A little odd, but nothing too alarming. Mistakes happens, so no big deal. Finally the full loop interviews are scheduled. I had the first one with an ELT member. All of the red flags I passed over and gave grace for came running at me. The ELT member started the interview out by being late. Then he wanted a few minutes to set up. We had a brief exchange and he asked me about my thoughts on the products and services they offered. I gave an answer then asked him for his POV. Brace yourself. He spoke for 20 minutes straight! I tuned him out after awhile. Then he began to ask me technical questions. He was cold, distant, and impersonal. It was difficult to truly describe my skill sets and experiences. He asked me what TAMs do at my current employer. He knew I was not on the TAM team, so how would I know what they do and their day-to-day. And who even asks this question? The interview was scheduled for 1 hour. Towards the 40 minute mark, he tells me I am not qualified for the role. I asked him to confirm his role and ended the interview. If it were so apparent that I wasn't qualified, why waste so much of my time dragging out the process when you could have shared this information in the beginning. The hiring manager, recruiter, and external partner recruiter felt my skill sets and experiences were qualified, so I don't know why he felt so inclined to tell me so bluntly and in an unprofessional manner. I withdrew my application ASAP. I was sure to share this interview experience with the recruiters. Liveperson has to do better. The market is hot right now. If they can't tighten up their recruiting practices, then they will continue to have trouble securing top talent. To wrap this up, don't ignore the red flags. Liveperson is slow to respond and I had bad candidate experience.

Seemed positive, but after 3rd interview they completely ghosted. HR guy was very happy to reply instantly when setting up interviews however when chased about the outcome of a THIRD stage interview, he seemed to forget how to type. Hiring manager also had no problem getting me to do tedious tasks before going ghost. Definitely worst experience I had in a long time.
