In Canada, we need 40 hours of community service to graduate high school. In grade 10, I asked the class instructor if I can help out around the classroom, and she hired me after I completed my 40 hours of free service. I was not tested or interviewed because I had been a Kumon student for a couple of years. From the other interviews I saw, the applicant was given a couple of math tests to take to prove that they can quickly solve math problems. (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & fractions). Additionally, they had to read some English passages and answer basic questions according to the passage.

Maths and English test followed by group tasks. you observe a video and they asked questions about how the children learn and what approach would work best for that child.
