There were many red flags with the interview process for Gopuff. Scheduling my 1st round interview with the hiring manager was extremely difficult and was a first red flag. The recruiter would let me know about an hour before my interview that something more important got scheduled over my time slot, and this happened several times before I was finally able to speak with the hiring manager. Following the 1st round, I was asked to do a case study to be submitted within 72 hours of receipt. The case study was an extensive project that took many hours to complete and required a lot of careful thought. A week after I submitted my case study, I received an email from HR that they have decided to discontinue hiring for the role I was interviewing for without much detail. Overall, the process gave the impression that the Company is disrespectful of candidates' time and efforts. The case study felt like a way to source an abundance of ideas through prospective candidates. Interestingly, the job posting is still up - not sure how many more candidates will fall in the trip of going through a process with them.
