Entretien
Applied online and got in touch with the Boston Area office people promptly. The phone Screen had some easy technical questions and I was able to learn more about the office culture and the people. The weird part for me was the push to get me to give them what salary I was looking for without them discussing a range or anything other tech companies normally do. After doing some research I told them a broad range (Around the low median market value for the area) and they mentioned that that was outside of their budget and ended the next step in the interview process.
This made the whole ordeal seem like a waste of time for both the interviewers and the interviewee and seemed like a huge red flag to omit their budget constraints.
