Interview was in person. Interview went well. Followed up with a thank you email. Heard back from the hiring manager that they were traveling and would continue the process once they returned. After not hearing from them several weeks, I finally heard back from them, only to be told that they actually put a hold on hiring, and were revisiting their applications again. They noted that they were interested in meeting with me again, and asked for a few dates. I provided them several options A few days later, they emailed me to let me know that they had already filled the position. Why tell me that: 1. The process is on hold 2. Then tell me to come in again to interview 3. Then tell me that the position was filled two days later as they reconnected with someone they previously offered the job to. They thanked me for my understanding. Well, I don’t and never will. Make up your mind as to what you want!
