My first interview was over the phone with the president of the company. After about a half hour of generic questions and chit chat, we discussed salary expectations. I was assured the amount I requested was well within what they were offering for the position. I then interviewed in person with 3 managers about a week later and everything went really well. After a week of back and forth I was offered the position verbally. I was then asked about my salary expectations so they could put together an offer letter for me. After I stated the exact amount previously discussed with the president, I was told they would be in touch in a day or 2. That was the last time I ever heard from them, they completely ghosted me. A couple of weeks later I saw the position reposted on Indeed starting at 18k less than what had been discussed in my first interview. The amount they are currently offering for the job is far below acceptable for the cost of living for Denver. I received several job offers (very similar positions to the one at ELEMENTS) and all of them offered me my desired salary without hesitation. Don’t let the promise of beer on tap and the occasional Rockies game rope you in, you deserve to be paid a livable salary.
