NOTE: Job was originally advertised as a Junior Systems Analyst but I quickly learned that they are flexible about which role to start in as long as you are properly prepared Had a phone interview with an extremely friendly and positive member of the HR team, understood that I was nervous at the start of the interview. He asked about my background, skills and why I wanted to complete the Doris graduate scheme. The assessment day consisted of; a group workshop (as you would expect, make sure to contribute and be diplomatic with fellow interviewees), numeracy test (Maths questions related to computer programming), literacy test (an option of 4 broad questions where I was able to talk about new technologies and IT trends I am interested in), and final interview. The final interview was relaxed, the vibe I got was to be open about your personality and generally what you are like as a person. One tip I would give is to ask lots of questions about working at Doris and specific technologies they use, make sure to squeeze as much of your knowledge in as possible without relying on the interviewer to lead. There was a surprise task at the end for us all also, I regretted not brushing up my Python skills but was able to get the method right. All employees were a pleasure to work with and I am genuinely looking forward to my start date. NOTE: After a successful assessment day I was required to do a technical interview with someone from Doris. This was a pleasure to do (lockdown has reduced me to learning SQL and C++ anyway) and it was great talking to someone specifically from the software development arm Doris. Be aware that there is one more stage after the assessment day.
