Very general in person interview. Met in person after receiving a call to schedule. Met with the manager in the morning. Interview was quick with a couple questions on teamwork, upset customers and working under pressure.

Basically all they talked about was my availability and how reliably I could get to work. Was quite casual as we just went into the back of the kitchen. Manager didn’t reply to many messages prior to the interview though.

On a weekend evening, two team members called in sick, leaving us short-staffed.
(T) I had to manage the floor while ensuring service quality.
(A) I restructured the shift, moved one person from back of house to front temporarily, and assisted wherever needed. I also kept customers informed with honest wait time estimates.
