      Entretien pour Broker Trainee

      Offre acceptée

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Charles Schwab (Indianapolis, IN) en août 2010

      Entretien

I had applied initially online a few months prior, and had not gotten an interview. After a few months, I reapplied, significantly revising my application to better describe myself and my passion for the position. A week after resubmitting my application, I received a phone call to sett up an initial phone screening (less than 1/2 hour). Upon completion of the phone screening, I was scheduled for a longer phone interview (Maybe 45 minutes). Then I attended a presentation about the position, and took a qualifying examination (some type of SIMFA exam, which lasted about 2 hours). After successfully passing the exam, I was scheduled for an in-person interview with two hiring managers. I was offered the position, which I immediately accepted. Throughout the process, I was asked behavioral-type interview questions, and talked about both how my past experiences and current passions made me suitable for the position. I recommend doing some research on the company before the first phone screening, and throughout the process, as they do ask questions to determine if you understand what the company does and how you will fit into the company's overall purpose. I got the sense that this company spends a lot of time trying to make sure their employees are a great fit, as they end up investing a lot of time and resources on training and employee satisfaction once hired. Overall, it felt mutually beneficial, and I learned a lot about the company through the process, so by the time my offer came through I was sure I really wanted to work for the company.

Phone screen, in person interview, drug screen, background check and then job offer. Very straight forward. If there’s a split decision about hiring you they will have a third part interview you.

I applied for relationship specialist, got invited for a phone. during the phone interview, my recruiter referred me for the broker trainee position(financial consultant professional) she said I was a better fit for that position. The interview went well and I was invited for a second face to face interview the following week. On getting there I realized it was sort of a group interview. all the hiring managers were in the room with us(about 15 applicants) they talked about the job requirements, what to expect if we got hire; they also talked briefly about benefits. after that they divided us into 2groups. first group went on a tour while 2nd group(my group) went for the interview. some people were interviewed by two managers ; I was interviewed by one manager . during the interview; the one thing he stressed on was passing of the series 7&63. the interview was about 1hour in total.

I had an employee referral opportunity, One phone interview asking basic questions such as, Customer Service and Scenario based questions. After that was the in person interview with two hiring managers that ask questions about your knowledge of the company trying to gage your enthusiasm. Be sure to look up exam based material, such as Questions, Time of Test, Etc... It was about a 2 hour interview asking questions about customer service examples and providing them with detailed descriptions of those examples( helps if you want to show your interest) I received an offer a couple hours after the interview and now going through a vigorous background check, UA drug test through third party company. I really enjoyed the staff and hiring managers, They were very hospitable and allowed me to bring thought upon my questions. High recommended employer!
