HR contacted me and setup a phone interview with a hiring manager. The manager/engineer asked me what I've worked on and what I was looking to work on during my internship. He asked me a situation that I faced and how I tackled it. He asked some basic questions on my previous work in kinematics, control and vision. After 25 minutes, it went tangential and he started asking why i switched schools for my PhD, and kept saying he couldn't hear me properly and I could sense he got irritated when I replied 'okay' to his responses, he expected me to stay silent. I followed up after the interview and the HR replied saying another person is incharge now of hiring interns. I messaged that person and they never got back to me. No courtesy to provide feedback or give a decision on the process. Not cool, Caterpillar.
