It was the most awkward and unprofessional experience I have encountered with any company. I received a phone call from the recruiter who seemed very friendly at first. As she was gathering general information on my background, we were having a great conversation. I felt I was more than qualified for the position with my experience, but she then decided to tell me her husband was very close friends with someone at my current company... after mentioning that she followed up by telling me she would be "doing more background investigation" before getting back to me. I never heard anything afterward. In my opinion, should there have been any hesitation or reason to not move forward, a respectful email after a 30-minute conversation out of my busy day would have been appreciated. I am more than happy to not move forward with this company after this one experience.
