Entretien
I received an email to schedule a 30-minute phone interview with a recruiter. The call covered my background, the role, and Brave Health’s mission. The recruiter provided a good overview of expectations, and after the call, I was invited to a virtual interview with the Marketing Manager.
The second interview lasted about 45 minutes. The Marketing Manager shared more details about the company and the role, which is a new position with a lot of responsibility and client outreach. They asked about my experience, why I applied, and how I’d contribute. The questions were straightforward and focused on how I’d handle the role.
Although I was not moved forward in the hiring process, I appreciated the experience because I realized the current structure and pay didn’t align with my long-term career goals. It’s a good opportunity for someone looking for a client-heavy role in a growing company, but it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for me.
The interview process is... interesting. There were 4 rounds total. The first being an initial phone screen, fairly easy with 3-4 questions related to experience. You're then offered a face to face (virtual), interview with the next person, That one was decent and the person interviewing is in marketing, and their personality was warm and welcoming. The questions asked during that one were similar past related work experience, and to describe situations you've been in and how you worked through them. The next interview was with someone on the actual team you'd be on... That one... painful. The person was very brash, borderline rude and had 0 personality at all and it felt like they already knew at that point they did not want you to advance. The final interview was to give a presentation of what Brave Health is, as if you are "selling" to a partner. I was given a PowerPoint, and asked to give a brief explanation of each slide. I did days of research, watched videos to better help me understand who they were as a company. I was fully vested and prepared. I was called a few days later to be denied an offer and told the only reason was "presentation skill". I feel like my time was wasted and the interview process is difficult and time consuming for absolutely no reason.
