J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez BearingPoint (Dublin, Dublin) en mars 2024

      Entretien

I interviewed with BearingPoint (Dublin) in March 2024. The process began with an initial screening call with a consultant on the Finance & Business Risk team. This included general questions such as your educational background, why BearingPoint, why Finance & Business Risk, motivations etc. Following this I was asked to participate in a group case study at BearingPoint's offices in Dublin. The activity was in a group of four 'consultants' strategising a plan regarding a railway service across the UK. We had 40 minutes to talk about the case and prepare a presentation to present to the four interviewers observing our work. We then had to present our findings and strategy within 20 minutes (including questions). --> To note, the hiring team wasn't a fan of our strategy as we had planned to spend a bit of money to improve on the company, in which I came up with alternative solutions that they also were not too keen on, so I wasn't 100% sure what exactly they were expecting from a group of four recent graduates. Following this, we each had an individual interview with two of the four that observed the case study activity (in which myself and another individual had to wait 45ish minutes following the case study as they did not have enough employees to interview all of us at the same time). This interview then lasted approximately 45 minutes. It included similar questions to the screening interview, background, why BearingPoint, interest in risk/finance. T he overall process of the final stage (case study/presentation/interview) took approximately 3 hours. Following this, 1 week later I received a generic email stating that I was not chosen for the position. The email was an automatically generated email from a 'noreply' address. I really was not appreciative of this, as I had spent over 4 hours throughout my day to interview at the company. I then emailed two separate contacts on numerous occasions at BearingPoint requesting feedback from the interview to understand where I went wrong or what I could improve upon in the future. No reply. Overall I think the interview experience that BearingPoint could have been implemented a lot better, as well as treating candidates with a lot more respect. Following the experience of the entire process, I was glad I wasn't offered a position there.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry you didn’t have a great recruiting experience with us. We take our responsibility seriously for providing candidates with a smooth and engaging experience. We received a very high volume of applications for the F&R graduate role and the purpose of the initial screening call is to support the shortlisting of candidates for the assessment centre process. Our recruitment process is designed to be competency based and although there may be some overlap in the questions, we would expect the discussions at the in-person event to be more depth than at the preliminary interview stage. The in-person assessment centre comprising the group case study and 1:1 interview is structured to enable all aspects of the hiring process to happen on the day and is scheduled to take 2.5 – 3 hours. This timescale is communicated to candidates in advance. To ensure all candidates meet the hiring manager, there may a short wait which is normally 25-30 minutes, during this time one of the existing team members is on hand for an informal discussion to answer any questions about working at BearingPoint. The feedback from candidates is that they find this very helpful. We will review how we communicate to candidates in the event they are not successful. We take requests for feedback very seriously and we have responded to all requests received from candidates. If you believe you haven’t received feedback, then please contact us at recruiter@bearingpointcareers.ie and we would be happy to facilitate this for you.
