A very casual process. The practice manager did the interview then showed me around the facility. The interview itself was relaxed and not really any tough questions. I originally chose Banfield for an opportunity for an externship for my veterinary assistant course. Instead they asked me to interview and if hired they would pay me for my externship.

The interview was in-person just like regular phone interviews. They first ask you to introduce yourself and describe your experiences. Then, they ask about certain skills like catheter placement, blood draw, and surgery monitoring. I think it lasted about 20-30 minutes.

The interview was conducted by both a hospital manager and veterinarian. The questions seemed pretty standard for this position. All in all a straightforward interview. The employees there seemed content.

My manager was super nice and responsive when it came to the hiring process. I went from application to hired in less than a week. Great experience. Would recommend to others if they love animals
