I applied for the resume writing position. I was contacted in the same week to discuss the details of the position. I was emailed the pay rates, etc. I took an assessment based on math, reading, and grammar. I was told that I passed the test with flying colors and they were ready for next steps. Every follow up email was 2 weeks from the other. Follow up was very strange. I was given a resume to rewrite and it was terrible! I don't see how anyone could have put it together, but I managed to make it look amazing while updating the format. When I turned it in, I was contacted 2 days later and they told me that they don't have the upgraded technology for the format and creativity I am used to. I told them that I am flexible and I am capable of writing traditional resumes as well. I did not receive a response for a month after that email. When I did receive a response, they asked if I was still interested after a month of no response, and that they wanted to discuss the next steps with me. I was excited to hear from them and to discuss next steps, but they never responded to the email I sent with my availability. This process was very confusing and follow up was terrible. For a professional and well known company, I never would have thought that they can be so careless on dropping the bomb with following up with people they are interested in. It would have been nice to get a heads up on things even if they were holding off on hiring. They kept me hanging even after asking for my availability to interview. This was not professional and I look down on this company because of how the I boarding process was handled.

I was contacted by Their main recruiter regarding my application. She mentioned that she was excited to review my samples, which I supplied. After she reviewed them - she said “
Hi, xxx, First, I have to tell you how impressed I am with your resume writing skills and background! Very refreshing to see after combing through a hundred applicants without a hint of experience! So, thank you so much for applying and having interest in writing for BOLD products! We’re pretty laid back here, I’m easy to get along with as long as orders are completed on time I do try to make it enjoyable and I always go to bat for my writers first and foremost.” After she sent me that, along with the break down of how the position works, she literally dropped off the face of the earth. No reply, no feedback, nothing more! I proceeded to accept another pending offer and I’m glad I did. What’s even crazier is - I had read online somewhere prior to applying that this is how this company does business! It’s disgusting to see such poor people representing the company on the front end. They are the first person you come in contact with, so they should be the best representative!
