I was suggested to the company owners for a position that had recently become available, by an acquaintance. After being explained a little about the company, and being new in the area, I was so excited to see the Gallery for myself. I dropped in to browse the gallery, was immediately greeted enthusiastically as I continued to browse, I introduced myself to the one of the employees, cutest girl with so much personality! Her hands were covered in paint as she was creatively resurfacing a cabinet, so we ended up shaking elbows with laughter. She mentioned having met me to the owner as my resume was forwarded by email. I then received an email later that day by the owner, himself! He expressed how after receiving my resume was so excited to meet me, we scheduled an interview the very next day. As I walked in the next day for the interview he hollered out 'hello' to me from across the room, before I was even past the entry way. We visited for about a half hour and I was informed of the past, present, and plans for the future of the company; I was given a very thorough explanation of the job and he made an offer on the spot! I couldn't have been more excited! I then, was introduced to his beautiful wife, and the rest of the staff who were at that moment in the brainstorming meeting for the new arrivals, that day, going on the floor. It was like Christmas morning, seeing all the new things coming right off the truck, and so inspiring to witness the creative process in the act! I started the next Monday! I already felt a part of the team!
