Recruiter screen, then first round interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter was helpful, providing details about the role and the next steps of the process. The hiring manager was insightful and interesting and asked various core competency questions. After a week, I received a call from the Recruiter that they would not be proceeding with my application along with some feedback. What stuck out was the lack of sensitivity from the recruiters in some of the comments around how the company was spoilt for choice with candidates – which I would understand if it wasn't for the fact that the company had promoted twice on Linkedin, was barely scrapping 100 applicants in several weeks in comparison to companies who get hundreds of applicants in less than 24 hours of posting. From a candidate perspective, the Recruiter could have had a little more tact, but I wish the company all the best.
