I was approached beginning of July 2011 thru LinkedIn by AllegisTalent2 recruiter for American Express. He asked me if I am interested to join Talent Pool at AMEX and we scheduled by e-mail time for an interview. It turned out that there was two recruiters and after 45 minutes I was accepted into internal talent pool.
Late July he approached me with a position, I was interested in that position and phone interview was scheduled with hiring manager (he was based in India). After 1 Hr interview hiring manager was very happy with me and ordered other interview in NYC HQ (where I supposed to work). I met with 4 people out there - initial recruiter, Amex HR manager, recruiter's manager and Amex director who was doing peer review. Everyone was happy, my interviews tend to run long and I was under impression that I will receive an offer. After 3 weeks I was told that position was filled by an internal candidate from India who was working directly with Hiring Manager and job was moved there.
