J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Acumen (Burlingame, CA) en août 2019
Entretien
1. A data exercise and then a phone interview which asks you to explain what you have done
2. An on-site interview which takes about 5 hours. A logic and probability written test which was not very difficult but timeconsuming. I interviewed with four groups of people and also had lunch with two people. They asked many questions regarding your previous projects. i just finished the on-site interview and the HR said that they would get back to me in two weeks.

After sending in my application, I received an email from them about a month later asking me to do an exercise for them. Completing this exercise did not guarantee me an interview. The purpose of the exercise was to gauge my thinking process for answering a data analytics question, like what x variables might be causing an increase in this y variable, so it wasn't difficult and you could just use Excel. For my exercise though, the instructions were very unclear, so I answered the question based on how I interpreted it, which apparently was wrong. Thankfully though, I was still asked to interview and got the chance to explain how I interpreted the question, so the interviewer understood why I did my analysis the way I did. It took another month to hear back and receive an offer from them.

Question 1
Describe your method and process of answering this exercise question.
Initially, I submitted application material including resume, cover letter, coding sample and answers to some application questions. After a few weeks they sent me a data analysis exercise and asked me to submit within a week. Then they scheduled a phone interview a week later. I thought I did pretty well in the interview which was a few days ago, but they sent me the rejection email today. I am shocked to learn that they are not able to offer me the position because I genuinely believed that I had the potential to perform at a high level in this role. I really liked this role so I am very disappointed. For the first time in my life I shed tears after being rejected by a company. I wish I could get another chance to prove my worth. The interviewer clearly didn't realize my potential.
