Within a couple weeks of applying online, I was contacted by an internal recruiter via email and we agreed upon a time for a telephone call. That phone interview consisted on confirming information, a few screening questions, and an overview of the interview process.
A few weeks later, the next step was a 45 minute telephone interview focused on validating my skills. It consisted of discussing examples of prior projects I had worked on with a senior associate, and being very clear about the situation/challenge, my specific role/actions, and the results achieved.
That was followed by another 45 minute telephone interview focused on behavioral topics such as "tell me about a time you disagreed with your manager and how you handled it". I understand the people who conducted this interview do only this kind of interview, and do several each day.
The final step was a day of face-to-face interviews that focused on "fit". This required air travel to and form another city in a single, very long day. I had two one-on-one interviews, each about an hour long, one with the hiring manager and another with a peer manager. There were other candidates interviewing at the same time, and we all sat together in a conference room between interviews and for lunch. It was a bit odd that no one from Accenture joined us for lunch, ... instead, they came in a various times, grabbed a sandwich box, and went back to their desk to eat.
The following week, I was informed they would not be extending me an offer.
