It started with a conversation with the Execute Administrative Assistant from the Boston office. It was about 5 mins, she asked me about my GPA/SAT scores, if I had received a full time offer from my summer internship, and gave me a breakdown of the daily tasks (i.e. getting coffee for the partners, cleaning up, pitching in with daily tasks). For the NY office there are no analysts, so as an intern, you work with the partners. From the breakdown she gave me, it sounded like the internship is a glorified
There is a modeling training session that you participate in every 1-2 weeks via webcam (its in the Boston office). She then asked if I had any questions, I said no, she answered all of my questions, and then she said she will get my information to the senior managers and get back to me. At this point, I withdrew my application from consideration. I do believe though it is followed up with an interview with the partners for the office you are considering. It's not really an internship from the way she described it, just underpaid help around the office.
