I had been applying at this company for months before I finally got my first reply. I applied for the position with my resume which auto filled in the application form. Somehow it placed one of my references (a white woman) as my name. For the first time ever I got a response within minutes, I was told the salary offer and agreed to negotiate. At some point I realized I was being referred to as Melissa, once I corrected that and gave me actual name the communication stopped. I then sent an email asking if I was no longer being considered since I was not the white lady they thought I was? After a few days I was invited to the interview and obviously did not get the job 😂. I’ve been applying since then, that was the only time they ever called me, when I was a white woman.
