As an integration architect, you are responsible for leading the design and implementation of seamless data and process flows across our diverse IT environment. Collaborating closely with IT stakeholders and domain experts, you ensure that each integration solution aligns with business objectives and adhere to industry standards. Your role involves strategically managing a range of integration technologies to optimize data flow, security, and scalability. You guide best practices, actively promoting knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and expertise among team members for proficient utilization of integration tools across the organisation.

Your role and responsibilities

• Define and maintain the integration architecture standards, policies, and procedures for the IT environment.

• Define integration patterns and best practices for each integration technology in our landscape (Oracle Integration Cloud, Kong API Management, Confluent Kafka), leveraging their specific capabilities to optimize data flow, security, and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with technical, data, and security architects to prepare integration architecture recommendations, implementation plans, and ensure delivery aligns with expectations and non-functional requirements.

• Define integration specification together with Domain Architects and products teams, understanding their integration needs and providing expert guidance on technology choices and implementation strategies for these specific integrations.

• Define the end-to-end integration architecture covering process, application, data, and technology. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.

• Lead the design and implementation of new integrations within the IT landscape, ensure alignment with the enterprise architecture and meeting both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Keep the integration team up to date with emerging technologies and trends, ensuring technical integrity and consistency of each integration solution throughout its lifecycle.

• Collaborate with vendors, ensuring effective vendor management for integration technologies, solution selection and participate in the resolution of technical issues or escalations.

• Advocate integration-specific architecture plans and strategies to all IT architects and the impacted product teams.

How to succeed / Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and design, with at least 5 years of experience in a solution architecture role.

• Experience defining and maintaining architecture standards and policies.

• Experience working closely with IT stakeholders to understand their needs and provide guidance on technology choices and implementation strategies.

• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and trends within application and integration architecture.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other IT leaders and stakeholders to achieve common goals.

• Experience working in a large, complex organisation.
