Empowered to make decisions and drive action across the organization. Company focus on personal development and growth. Management and peers open to new ideas. Fast-paced, ever-changing, company has tons of growth potential
Inconvénients
Very direct communication style. Can get talked over easily. Organization can feel siloed depending on the group. Everyone stretched thin

Avantages
I'm the kind of person who needs a good problem to chew on, otherwise I get bored. At Angi there are a lot of very interesting technical challenges and strategic decision points to keep my mind interested and engaged. At the same time, the culture is relaxed and the people are great to work with.
Inconvénients
Like most organizations, there is more that we would like to do than can be done. We're constantly prioritizing and choosing which projects are most important, and sometimes we get spread out pretty thin. We need to hire more great people!

Avantages
Fellow engineers are smart and helpful but it's sad to see so much talent wasted on poor upper management whims.
Inconvénients
Priorities change with the wind or whenever upper management wants to feel like they're doing something. Work/life balance is touted as important, but then "high priority" initiatives mean cutting vacation short or being left behind. One of the new core values that leadership is so proud of - Do More With Less - is a pathetic cover for cutting raises, bonuses and shares. Pulse surveys are only used to make management feel like they are doing a good job, not for actually listening to employee problems. You will not become a better developer here - only a better Angi employee by wasting your time learning how to program in their specific set ups. "Culture" means drinking the cool aid and buying Angi merch or using their new zoom background images while being excited that your team was congratulated in a useless meeting instead of being given a raise. Disorganization at every level and big decisions are made with no plan for implementing them.
