    Avantages

    I have worked at Vibrent Health for almost a year and it has been so rewarding. Each day offers new challenges and opportunities to help grow and develop the company and its staff. I’ve enjoyed establishing new policies and procedures, implementing a standardized performance management system that will now allow employees to receive timely feedback, and this month I’m rolling out leadership training. All fun stuff... for me! Exciting additions such as the expansion to another floor of the building and a usability lab for research purposes. There are so many wonderful benefits and perks. The office is beautiful and modern with all the fun bells and whistles of a tech company. From the generous benefits package to the free snacks and happy hours, its exciting to be here. Management does truly listen and care. After receiving feedback just this year we’ve implemented a more generous PTO policy, added cell phone reimbursement, and are developing a training structure for each new employee. For existing employees, we are promoting our education reimbursement program.

    Inconvénients

    Not that I necessarily feel that this is a con, but we are a quickly growing company trying to establish a strong foundation so there are moments of frustration when something is not already established. Sometimes it takes time to create new programs or implement new changes.

    With so many new developments, employees like to be kept informed, so providing as much transparency as possible is helpful.

    « Ideas Over Hierarchy »

    Avantages

    A lot of companies have printed values that extoll Ideas over Hierarchy & implore employees to be Bold. But when the situation arises to make a hard decision, the company's leaders typically decide in favor of "safer" solutions that may not be the best long-term solutions. Not so at VibrentHealth. I was recently at crossroads where a solution presented itself that was different from the well-trodden path... that everyone was assuming we would take. The team did the analysis and presented different scenarios to executive management. What I was impressed with was the objectivity, candor and openness to new ideas & proposed solutions that was shown by management. Vibrent is a company that practices what it preaches: for employees to be bold by not taking things at face value and to take-up challenges. It is a place where good ideas matter over hierarchical positions in the company.

    Avantages

    Most of the average coworkers, project managers and some senior management are an absolute joy to work with. They work hard under stressful loads and highlight your successes. They're probably why people choose to stay at Vibrent.

    Inconvénients

    How much time ya got? Everyone here is like a battered spouse - after they push through the initial fear of him, they get acclimated to the fact that we've all been belittled in public by the CEO. Everyone sees it happen and they don't move to do anything about it - because they feel like they can't - not without losing a job they're not prepared to be without. That's probably the worst part of it all -... that the abuse becomes so commonplace that it's just expected - a part of everyday life. It's my understanding that some of the best managers step in and shield their team members from the whims and wrath of an owner that demands that he be involved in every minute detail of the daily workings of the business. That'd be tolerable (maybe) if there was a clear plan - but as a start up, they idealize the concept of flexibility that translates to the employees as a strategy of wildly flailing for new opportunities and priorities shifting overnight. To be honest, I treasure my old coworkers and I hope the company continues to prosper - but there's no mechanism in place to address the biggest problems at Vibrent Health. And I fear without those mechanisms in place, their future comes into question. Additionally, read all the reviews here - the negative reviews I've read are all true as far as I can tell.
