    I stayed around 6 months. At first, everything was great; they do the old smoke and mirrors trick- free lunch! gym reimbursement! tons of $$ if you hit quota!     Zillow is one of the most toxic work environments I have ever encountered. People will warn you of the "Zillow Pillow" from stress eating.     Avantages

    Amazing culture/environment, compensation and work life balance. They truly take care for their employees. Opportunity for advancement is there and executive management is on point.

    Inconvénients

    You can get stuck with a territory or book of business that has a high level of churn due to not making quota, so don't expect an easy sale. If your direct manager is not a good fit for you to learn from you might be in a tough spot.

    Kitchen snacks and peoples reactions when you tell them you work for Zillow.

    Inconvénients

    No job security. High turnover. If you miss your quota for 3 months you are fired no questions asked. Quota is $8,000 per month which is extremely difficult since majority of real estate agents have already been burned by the product you’re trying to sell. It’s an extremely difficult and expensive sale to make and very hard quota to hit. Managers play favorites and will give leads to sales executives they are close with....

    Fix the issue of people snaking other people deals and make it a fair playing field. "Salesforce Rules" are INSANE. The fact that if you miss a follow up on someone you have been working with for months and if they accidentally falls out of your name that another SE who literally did nothing for the sale gets to close it and get 100% credit.     For the most part the people are great that work at Zillow. Everyone is always willing to help out new SEs to a certain extent but never allowing them to get to close to teach them all of their secrets. Benefits are great Pay sounds good until you realize how hard this job actually is.

    Inconvénients

    Upper management turns a blind eye to employees who do not sell with integrity. Yes they put up big numbers but they are not setting agents up for success. This is why we have had so many agent say “I hate Zillow” the Premier Agent platform works, but if an agent is being told they will get certain things and close X amount of homes in 6 months they expect that... SEs around here will tell agents whatever they want to...

    Really dig into what your front line is doing/saying to agents. Look into employees who consistently put up big numbers. They are the face and voice of Zillow and unfortunately PA is being misrepresented. I know you trust management to take care of this but they have a number they need to hit as well... so they tend to “overlook” this. Amazing benefits and the core values of the company are important and help keep employees aligned with what is really important.     High turnover rate for new SEs. Less than 50% of the SEs hired in my class are still here a year later. However, a lot of them just weren’t doing the work they needed to be successful. By far the biggest issue facing SEs is lack of good support with sales technology. Consumer facing Zillow tech is awesome and innovative.     Invest money and get smart people in your sales strategy/operations department. Spend more time listening to your sales professionals. The fact that we can't pull a report showing which agents have sold properties in a specific zip code is insane when we have that data available and it just needs someone to build out an API call from the website into the CRM.
