    Avantages

    Nice people and working environment (work/life balence)
    Good opportunities to progress, however you will need to take ownership of that yourself as much as management
    Lots going on across the firm at the moment, especially with a new firmwide strategy

    Inconvénients

    Historically the firm has underinvested in IT, albeit there is now significant upgrades happening e.g. office 365 and skype from business
    As per point above, you will need to drive yourself in order to get on but if you are that way inclined, there seems to be no ceiling

    Keep communicating to staff about strategy and progress against it
    Continue investment in technology and people

    Avantages

    Strong social culture; albeit based around standing outside one of the drinking hovels in the vicinity. Relatively few sociopaths below partner level.

    Well funded Christmas parties where staff collectively drown their sorrows, vomit them up in the lobby, and get the firm banned from returning next year.

    Excellent facilities/support staff, who will make anything you need happen provided you treat them as human beings. On this basis, little gets done.

    Inconvénients

    Thriving culture of misogyny and sexual harassment. It's much like working for the BBC in the 1980s, where every other man in a position of power is possibly going to touch you.

    Depressing working environment, strongly committed to shades of brown and grey (at least it makes the mice less obvious). Equipment is dirty, technology is antiquated, and the little natural light is absorbed by the corpulent backsides of the partners sat snoozing in the window seats.

    Remuneration policy inspired by a Victorian mill: equity partners continue to strip the business and claim there is no money to provide pay rises for the people who actually do the work.

    Dreadful, dreadful sandwiches.

    Consider an office refurb. Quit accommodating known sex pests. Continue to invest in IT. Outsource sandwich making to Pret.

    Avantages

    Most of the staff at student level and lower to middle management we’re fantastic - very supportive and friendly.

    Good training in technical matters.

    Inconvénients

    Upper management/partners has little to no regard for the lower level staff (with some exceptions of course).
    Very poor IT
    Forced to work long hours with no remuneration

    Realise that a happy workforce is more productive!

    Avantages

    -All ACA training exams paid for

    - Not too worried about mock exam results.

    - People in the other teams were nice.

    -Working hours are reasonable

    Inconvénients

    First of all, AVOID this place like the plague. Reasons for doing so:

    - Toxic people in the team make it the worst of any company I have ever worked at. Staff turnover is exceptionally high, with multiple people being hired in leaving within a year due to the attitudes of two of the senior staff members. I know it continues to be the same even after I have left as I still have friends that work there.

    - No upward feedback of your job or the managers. Everything is top-down. Any feedback exercises they do are farcical, as the negative feedback never gets taken on board. Prepare to be made to feel like you are a failure (I felt like this and I passed all my exams first time!)

    - Office is a dreary, depressing place. If you like your office to be various shades of grey and brown with outdated computers, this is the place for you!

    - Salaries are well below London salaries, even after qualifying, and the work from London often gets outsourced to the regional offices.

    - Limited range of clients - best work gets taken on board by London office.

    You need to listen to the ground-level staff and not let it get twisted by the senior staff in the office.

    Avantages

    Lots of scope to become involved in work that isn't run of the mill and with senior management/partners. Supportive atmosphere and team.

    Inconvénients

    If you are complacent, you will flounder. You need to be very self-motivated.

    Friendly people, diverse range of services. Good work-life balance- leave when time-sheet done!

    Inconvénients

    A "playing games culture" to manipulate stats to look good. Partners keep all profits. lack of incentives. IT system poor. No opportunity to give anonymous feedback. lack of training for staff. No genuine help to improve.

    Avantages

    None, horrid organisation and a prime candidate to be a tier 4-5 organisation

    Inconvénients

    Everyone teams up to protect themselves, if you fail to adhere to the regime you get stabbed in the back
