J'ai travaillé chez Monster Worldwide en Contrat Permanent (Pendant plus de 8 ans)

    Avantages

I was with Monster for 9 years. In the beginning, work life balance was great. I was making excellent money (six figures every year). It was stressful as with any sales job but was still fun and exciting mainly because of the people. Set hours so no taking your work home with you, which allows you to enjoy your family/ free time. Good benefits, Including a 401k which the company matched. Raises every year in the beginning based on performance. Sales achievers trips. I have some amazing memories with this company.

    Inconvénients

Unfortunately, most of the things that made the company and culture great stopped. No sales trips, no raises, and it became extremely hard to hit your number unless you are part of the favorites club. Management completely ruined the company. What was once so promising has become a dinosaur in the industry and I don't see how that can be fixed. I stuck around long enough to hear the plans to rebuild and couldn't see their vision. Micromanaging at its worst. Only there for shareholders, company could care less about the customer. In fact, as a sales rep they made it extremely hard to hit your number and make money without getting customers to buy products only to make Monster look better. In a lot of cases these were not products these customers even needed. I started with Monster because I felt I was helping people and making a difference....it happened to pay well and was fun which was icing on the cake. In the end I felt guilty, I was doing a disservice to my customers all for a buck. Management could care less, they are all about looking good. They rule by fear and threaten to fire you if you speak up, mainly because they themselves do not know how to manage.

    Conseils à la direction

Listen to your employees... They want to be successful too. They are the ones on the front line, let them help you right this ship. I still have a lot of friends and stock with the company and I would love to see there be a change. I do not know how Tim Yates is managing things as he took over just after I left but hope he is not running it the same way Sal did. Bring back the sales trips and raises each year.....sales people are in sales for a reason.

Je travaille chez Monster Worldwide à plein temps (Pendant plus de 5 ans)

    Avantages

Innovation - great products, market leader in technology and new product development
Training - weekly and monthly training on products , selling, and side by site coaching
Support - if you need support you will get it, the management love developing their staff
The very best thing is the ££££££££££££££££££££££££ and the financial incentives you get for just doing you job are amazing as well as holidays (which I haven ever won) and great prizes which I have won lots of.
I have always done field sales in the past, but since coming to Monster I make great money like I did in field sales with very little pressure or stress. You turn the sales around a lot quicker, over achievement bonuses are fantastic and this has allowed me to travel to places I had only ever seen in the movies!
I seen this as an intern role, but its a long term career that I want to get here as the company is engaged in developing me as a person and also increasing their product solutions consistently by adding more products for our clients.
Free fruit, great social committee with lots of nights out, lots of charity work for homeless shelters, food banks and hospitals in the area! You also win days off for hitting targets so last year I got over 30 days annual leave! Late starts and early finishes, nice team lunches and good atmosphere for birthdays, Christmas and holiday celebrations

I had to have time off for personal reason due to family illness my Sales Manager and team were fantastic and supportive, I got all the time of I needed and didn't feel under pressure at all

    Inconvénients

As our product offerings are so vast there is problems in fully understanding how they can impact clients businesses as a benefit especially for new starts, but if you work hard and take the time to understanding the products it will be fine, the training does cover it.
Some of the success express modules are too long - the induction can be shortened
Would love client support teams in the UK

    Conseils à la direction

Keep up the weekly and monthly training sessions - these are great whether you are new or have been with Monster for many years!

Get a full time trainer in the Glasgow Office that covers all aspects of training so the structure is leaner and new starts get on the phones quicker!

Keep the incentives going as this will ensure that the staff keep motivated to sell.

Je travaille chez Monster Worldwide à plein temps (Pendant plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

    -Global leader in online recruitment.
-Innovative and sophisticated technology which is constantly evolving.
-Great incentives (cash, vouchers, holidays and technology etc)
-Excellent earning potential (if you are prepared to learn and put in the effort)
-Career progression available and achievable for smart, dedicated and money hungry solution sales consultants

    Inconvénients

-Its really hard work (but then again, what would you expect for a £25k+ basic salary and £35k - £50k + OTE for a telesales job).
-Although the job is telesales its definitely not for everyone! You're not cold calling or on a dialler trying to punt double glazing. You need to be smart, assertive and be prepared to research and present solutions to clients.

    Conseils à la direction

-Could use a locally based trainer and sales support to allow the sales people to sell more and the managers to manage us.
-All processes could, should and need to be streamlined.

    Avantages

Had to write this review in response to review dated on the 5th of March - not only utter fabrication but totally inappropriate & tells you all you need to know about this set person (full office know's who he is). I have been with Monster UK in Glasgow for 2 years and can assure people that if you do what is asked you will be rewarded - simple as this. Las Vegas was a trip on offer for Q4 sales target met (which I sadly missed out on!) & along with my own promotion within 8 months due to working hard and being support by both team manager and sales manager who do make the job enjoyable. Review below is from a person we all know in Glasgow office who left after 4 months after complaining from the start from his cushy job ( along with the 7 that all left from the same now defunct call centre in Glasgow) he had previously and left due to being asked to work slightly harder (shock/horror...) & improve his poor attitude that we all witnessed first hand. Again this person is mud slinging simply due to his attitude being incorrect from the beginning & to use someone's death on the review tells you all you need to know about him. Drinking culture?? I don't think so. It is a sales job and if people want a drink AFTER work then fine. Don't want to be judged by this sad person as I do drink sorry in advance - big deal.I've never seen one drug at all in the office so again blatant misguided story from this man. Get over yourself get on with your life and enjoy another 3 jobs in 1 year you will do well with that.

    Inconvénients

None really. Training and coaching are ongoing and if you want to earn big in office hours this company provides the platform. Yes it is hard work however I earned upwards of £40k in my first year which is good from where I came from. Would possibly have liked to have gone on phones quicker at start of my contract but that's it.

    Conseils à la direction

Keep hearing about the Florida trip for the conference (2012) so would love for the business to roll this out or something like it this year. As I understand it was a global sales conference in Orlando last time so would like something similar this year if possible....

The Money is out of this world for what is essentially a telesales job
    People are friendly and supportive
    Excellent incentives

    Conseils à la direction

    keep doing what you're doing
