      The flexibility and ability to work from home is great. The office space is comfortable and accommodating.

      You don’t always feel valued by management, compensation is on the lower end of the spectrum.

      The unlimited vacation and office perks like the barista are nice. My coworkers were smart and hardworking. Cross-collaboration - although strained from growing pains - is still achievable with the right channels.

      HubSpot’s Customer Success org is struggling. They’ve had high burnout in this role due to larger than average customer ratios (think 1:200+ in a bad quarter) and impossible targets. You can only offer a certain level of service at those ratios, which makes it impossible to hit target. This leads to high turnover rates, which causes even higher ratios. Instead of solving the problem, managers blame it on Customer Success...

      Listen to the feedback of your employees. You’re going to be in a perpetual attrition cycle if you don’t take them seriously. You hired them because they’re smart. Take the manager “my employees are lazy” excuse for what it is: poor management.

      So many. HubSpot as a company is well planned, growing like crazy, and making an awesome impact on the industry. It's also a great place to work! Good perks, unlimited leave being a big one, and a strong culture that makes working there fun. Training was a highlight for me, given I was in an entry level role. There's a great vibe at HubSpot, and whilst I'm leaving, I would happily come back one day :)

      Inconvénients

      Not all offices are created equal - whilst the company is amazing, it's best to research the kinds of roles available within each office to ensure that there are opportunities you might want to pursue. For example, the Sydney office is amazing; but it doesn't do engineering, or product - so if that's a goal, you might want to consider your options.

      Continue to be transparent, and kind. I really feel that the HELM of HubSpot is a rock star group of people that care about their employees, and the company. I feel so lucky to learn from such a great group of people.
