    Avantages

    - Great new hire training. - Fantastic to learn a lot - great environment if your love Tech innovation - Relationship with Client is super - talking to C level - Salary OK (but not great neither) - integrity and core values are important in the culture - small organization , nice working environment - good sales get recognized !

    Inconvénients

    - Metrics driven - Very high demanding - First years quota are OK, but on the longer term it gets very very hard as they reduce territory size, increase numbers every year - No long term vision - Work/Life is hard - but they are working on it - HR is terrible in smaller offices ! - Only numbers count - nothing else - Too many silos. No collaboration between Business Units - Only Middle Management can go to...

    The hiring process is so rigorous and you only hire the best then why don't put more effort in keeping great talents ? Recognize that the sales metrics are out of date and unrealistic for shrinking territories. Understand and recognize that Europe is not US. Different market, different countries - should have different metrics and approach. Act more Customer centric (outside inside) !

    Avantages

    great place to work if work hard play hard is your thing! Great compensations too as they're uncapped! It's a clear Sales organization! Great talented people to meet there! Everyone is focused on one thing, NCVI (Net Contract Value Increase). from the CEO - Gene Hall to anyone else in the company! Strong brand and strong culture!

    No limits company expecting the same from their employees. There's one way the Gartner way

    Too pyramidal organization, too many different levels of management, the organization should be more lean and employees should be more empowered! Managers in Sales (at least) don't have the time to do quality! Most of them are doing spreadsheet Management, the way you treat people is something to look at too, career opportunities are not really pushed forward.     Avantages

    Good to build your network with board members of the clients. benefits are good (pension, company car, etc)

    Inconvénients

    Gartner is a sales organisation nothing more nothing less, if you love pure sales of what ever and don't have in-depth IT experience Gartner is the place to get a job. If you are into IT don't join into a sales role. Payment is average, variable payment is terrible from a steady income perspective. as sales you are being thought all the tricks to close the sale quickly as a Gartner sales rep you will never become...

    best sales guys get promotions, but remember an excellent sales person is often not a great manager. Gartner wants to grow their sales force 20% year over year, with 10% of the employees leaving each year Gartner needs to hire 30% new sales staff every year. with this large amount of new people you will net get the best of the best anymore.

    The culture is great, everyone makes you feel at home. Amazing training program and several resources to ensure your success.

    Inconvénients

    The intern program could have been more clear about what the metrics that we need to complete will be in the hiring process, rather than finding out what we are doing the first day.

    Inconvénients

    It's not for everyone, you have to be willing to challenge yourself, to learn new ways of doing things, of applying best practices. If that's not for you, you won't be happy here.

    Avantages

    Great health benefits. Can engage clients in interesting discussions. Best fit for less mature salespeople to build contacts and resume.

    Inconvénients

    Retaining clients is much harder than described during interviews. To reduce cancels, Sales has to stay involved in service. To overcome often huge losses, Sales must make these up so your high quota just increased. All this happens while your daily activities are micro managed for the top priority, net growth. Forget about PTO. Nonstop stress and scrutiny has more good reps leaving.

    -Great benefits/PTO -Management cares about your professional trajectory -GBS/Heritage CEB values employees and works with good sense of camaraderie -In the coordinator role there is ability to work on a breadth of projects and topics

    Inconvénients

    -Salary discrepancy between people in the same position. $20k difference between people with similar experiences in the same position -The "Gartner-fying" of GBS/heritage CEB is making culture worse. People below AEs are no longer rewarded with simple benefits like catering and happy hours, has turned very streamlined/corporate --Relying on remote staff has worsened office culture
