Avantages
Perfect place to be for creative STEM-included people. Attracts plenty of business owners and entrepreneurs, and opportunity to collaborate with them. Hands-on training with many state of the art machines and equipment. Staff are helpful and accommodating to members, and non-managerial staff are a blast to work with and are happy to train and help each other out.
Inconvénients
- Overworked and underpaid (explains high turn-over rate and amount of employees with second and third jobs) - Little to no growth within company, cross-training is limited because it implies pay raise (which was promised but never given for length of employment) - Mgmt has poor communication back and forth from corporate, and have wide variety of issues with assigned employees including illegal scheduling issues, clear gender bias towards male employees, and general lack of uniformity when it comes to addressing performance issues - No respect or appreciation for wanting to learn more and take on new responsibilities, which is shameful in an industry that nurtures and motivates people to self-improve - Instructors are not accommodated or helped very well, falling back on "budget issues" despite steep class and membership prices
